Attention Mushers!

ATTENTION MUSHERS!  There are no vet checks on Saturday, February 23, 2019.  Instead, please have your vaccination records available for the Race Vet at the Musher’s Dinner on Saturday.  Vet Checks will be performed on Sunday morning before the race.

6-Dog Route

Curious about the 6-dog race route for 2019?  Mushers and their 6-dog teams will follow the Taconite Trail to just short of the Bear Head Lake State Park road, and then run along Purvis Road and loop back onto the Taconite Trail.  The total route will be about 32 miles in length.  Click the above map to explore their route.

The 8-dog course remains the same as in previous years.  View their route by clicking “About the Race” above and selecting “Race Route” from the drop down list.

Thank You...

Special thanks to the City of Ely, Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, St. Louis County, Bear Head Lake State Park and United States Forest Service for all their great support during the planning and implementation of the race. We appreciate the continued support of these organizations and their staff for the many ways they provide assistance to bring the WolfTrack Classic Sled Dog Race to Ely each year. Thank you!
