Attention Mushers!

Vet checks have changed this year. There will be no vet checks held on Saturday Feb. 24th. Instead, please have your vaccination records available for the Race Vet at the Musher’s Dinner.  Vet Checks will be performed the morning before the race.

New 6-Dog Route

The WolfTrack Classic board is excited to announce changes for the 2018 race.  This year both the 6-dog and 8-dog races will start and finish right in Ely.  The 8-dog course remains the same as in previous years.  Our President and Race Director, Ellen, worked with a variety of agencies to come up with a new 6-dog route that promises to be an incredible course for dogs and mushers alike.  Is your curiosity peaked?  Read on…

Mushers and their 6-dog teams will follow the Taconite Trail to just short of the Bear Head Lake State Park road, and then run along Purvis Road and loop back onto the Taconite Trail.  The total route will be about 32 miles in length.

To view the new route, click on the map image above.
